Perched high in the Truong Son Mountains, Ba Na Hills feels like a page from a storybook. First developed by the French in the early 1900s as a hill station, today it’s home to an eclectic mix of European-inspired architecture, gardens, and one of the world’s longest cable car rides.

Suggested Time: 1 day

Best For: Architecture, fantasy-like views, nature walks

Most come for the Golden Bridge, famously held aloft by two giant stone hands — a modern marvel set against the mist. But there’s more to uncover if you wander off the main paths.

Things to Do in Ba Na Hills:

  • Take the cable car and walk across the Golden Bridge
  • Explore the French Village and Le Jardin D’Amour gardens
  • Visit the Linh Ung Pagoda and its massive white Buddha
  • Hike in the surrounding Ba Na-Nui Chua Nature Reserve

What to Wear: Layers — it can be chilly and foggy at the top. Good walking shoes are a must.

Be Mindful Of: Crowds. Try to arrive early in the day to avoid peak times.

Conscious Travel Note: While the area is a tourist attraction, be mindful of its ecological impact. Stick to marked paths and avoid littering in forested areas.
